Earlier this month, Ak-West Inc. had the privilege of attending Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show in Woodstock, Ontario. Representing our team were James Hodge and Troy Colmer, who joined forces with our trusted distributor, Metric Packaging and Storage Solutions. Together with Metric’s Andrew D’Onofrio and Matt Robinson, we had the opportunity to connect with the backbone of our nation—Canada’s farming community.

From sunup to sundown, farmers across Canada dedicate themselves to producing the fresh, local products we all enjoy at our tables. Their hard work not only sustains our food supply but also supports thousands of jobs directly and millions more indirectly across the country. At Ak-West, we tip our hats to these incredible men and women for their grit, commitment, and passion.

Engaging with the Farming Community

The show was a tremendous success, offering us the chance to greet and engage with hardworking people from every corner of the agricultural and livestock industries. Conversations ranged from crop production and livestock care to the latest in farming innovation. It was inspiring to hear firsthand the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of Canadian farming.

Innovation on Display

This year’s event featured approximately 580 exhibitors, showcasing a vast range of products and solutions—everything from equipment, machinery, and technology to storage systems, harvesting tools, pesticides, fertilizers, irrigation methods, and building structures. It was a reminder of how quickly agriculture continues to evolve and how vital innovation is in helping farmers thrive.
